The proposed development of 18 Self Care Units, in addition to an existing 14 units, will complete the St Georges Basin Retirement Village which includes 37 High Care and 52 Low Care suites. Ten of the new units have 3 bedrooms (131sq.m) while the remainder have 2 bedrooms (112 sq.m).

The new residential units have been designed to read as individual cottages with an identifiable entry and defined private outdoor space. Every residence is on one level with an attached garage providing secure internal access. Buildings are stepped down the site enhancing each dwelling’s sense of address, while providing easy access throughout the village.
The northern orientation of each residence, as well as a water tank and heat pump hot water system housed in screened service courtyards, contribute to the environmentally sensitive design. The houses are finished with face brickwork and gabled tiled roofs to sit sympathetically with the existing development and residential neighbourhood.
