Monday 31.05.18

Join us for another engaging and informative conversation at our Wollongong studio. Continuing the ‘sustainability series’ we are considering an education perspective with the topic being ‘the changing shape of university campuses in a regional context’.

On the back of his successful overseas study tour, Paul Mourtos (Property Development Director – UOW Enterprises) will be sharing the McKinnon Walker Report and offering insights that consider the relationship between the university and the city, and interactions with local businesses and the wider community.

Omar Khalifa (CEO – iAccelerate) will talk about the importance of blending university campuses with community, business and government in a collaborative spirit which creates a new vibrancy in a regional context. Sharing lessons as to how the physical environment can act as both a facilitator and beneficiary of this new outlook.

Steven Turner (Director – Colonysix) will be discussing their exciting project work at ANU, which introduces a commercial precinct on campus with the objective of integrating the campus with its adjacent civic centre and wider residential community.

After the guest speakers have presented, we will once again be providing you the opportunity to join in the robust discussions by asking questions to the panel.

Refreshments and informal conversations to follow at 6.00pm onwards.

Registration at 4.00pm, and the talks will start promptly at 4.30pm.

We hope to see you there.
