The project is located in Box Hill and is part of the Sydney Hills District Growth Area which is quickly developing. The orientation of the site required consideration of screening from western sun while taking advantage of the distant views to the Blue Mountains. There was also the challenge of setting a precedent for the future context of this recently rezoned area.
The residential development is the first approved high density residential development in the rezoned Box Hill precinct. The solution resulted in a variety of apartments including townhouses, 2 storey units, and single level adaptable units while achieving a high percentage of units with good solar access and natural ventilation.
