The Requirements

The Edmiston Jones’ interiors team work closely with a range of clients with the re-design of their workplaces to help improve workflow, amenities and aesthetics to enhance the environment for staff and visitors to the site. This expert analysis of a workplace can optimise staff efficiency and wellbeing. One of these is the refurbishment of a local industrial site Administration Office on the banks of the Shoalhaven River. Originally designed in 1961 by Peddle Thorpe and Walker architects for the Shoalhaven Paper Mills, the building has wonderful bones with a fantastic diamond shaped roof structure.

The Solution / Outcome

It was a delight to re-imagine it as a contemporary workplace for staff as well as an impressive venue to host the international clients and guests of the organisation. After working through the briefing and spatial analysis with our clients, we prepared concept plans and a mood board that captured the “look and feel” of the spaces. The architectural team assisted with modelling the building shell, while our Interior Designers modelled the interior spaces. We then worked with our regular collaborator to create computer generated images of the designs, preparing a concept design package that helped our clients visualise the potential their building offered as a true “design classic”.
