The Requirements

The challenge in the project was to design a building that projected a strong identity and also maximised the site’s development potential. Commercial viability depended on a complex that had a flexible layout, was attractive to businesses and created a point of difference amongst the neighbouring industrial developments.

Solution / Outcome

Although the corner address added to the profile of the building, an added challenge was the southern and western orientation of the street elevations. Turning a liability into an asset, perforated metal louvres and minimalist rectangular windows give a distinctive character to the completed building.

Architecture is frozen music.
