A Golden Opportunity

Residential & Specialist Housing
by Steven

At the end of November construction started on luxury residential apartments at Golf Links Drive, Batemans Bay. Our friends at Bevans Marketing have bestowed this project with the name ‘Gold’ giving a hint to their perception of the quality of the lifestyle offered. In their words …

“Golf Links Drive will introduce a new level of quality and sophistication to the local property market. Living in a well appointed and expertly finished home makes a difference. There is plenty of space in the Golf Links Drive apartments to stretch out and relax or entertain friends and family. An average sized 165 square metres for the 3 bedroom apartments make them a record breaker in the local area. And the views! From every level the aspect is spectacular.”

Enough of the real estate hype! Golf Links Drive is a 15 unit development of 5 levels. The design of multi-residential developments in established communities that have been, at the most, double storey in scale for decades was the real architectural challenge. There is a strong argument for increased population in existing urban areas as well considered densification capitalises on existing urban infrastructure while limiting urban sprawl. This complex will have the added benefit of being close to golfing and boating.

For Edmiston Jones, this project was a chance to exercise our skill in specialised housing. To this, we added our in-house experts in Interior Architecture, accessibility and sustainability. As evidence of the breadth of our experience in residential design, we have served this same client for over a decade with alterations to the family home, a 92 bed aged care centre and other commercial ventures.

This range of experience informs all our work. Add a healthy measure of curiosity and we achieve projects like GOLD. More than just another residential development. Check out the project at golflinksdrive.com.au
