Diment reimagines an existing residential building, originally built in the 1960s, as contemporary independent living for older adults. Through adaptive reuse, the project extends the life of the building while delivering improved accessibility, amenity and energy performance. Significant services and compliance upgrades were integrated seamlessly, with Edmiston Jones leading the consultant team to achieve complex regulatory, operational and resident outcomes. The project demonstrates how thoughtful refurbishment can deliver dignified, sustainable housing without the environmental cost of new construction.
