Design Approach
Our team developed a design that respects and engages with the surrounding Bega Valley countryside with the site being situated on the outskirts of Bega township, whilst providing a variety of high-quality housing options and functional spaces for residents.
Central Features
- 42 two and three-bedroom single storey villas overlooking farmland with high-quality finishes and fixtures
- A Community-Hall fully equipped for social events, opening onto alfresco seating and BBQ areas
- Other community amenities including a library, meeting room and area for carpet bowls
- Native gardens and community vegetable gardens providing a tranquil and immersive setting for residents and visitors
Outcomes
The unique aspects of the Bega Valley environment guided the material and planting selection, to provide an outcome that blends with the surrounding context and offers a sustainable and appropriate housing solution into the future for the Bega Valley region.
