Development
Completed in 2021, this two-storey development delivers six thoughtfully designed studio apartments for single women over 50—responding to a critical and growing housing need within our region.
Each light-filled unit is oriented north, with private outdoor space, parking and access to shared facilities. Positioned within walking distance of Nowra town centre and overlooking farmland to Coolangatta Mountain, the project balances amenity with connection to landscape.
Located adjacent to a heritage-listed cottage, the design carefully mediates between past and future. Contemporary metal cladding and durable materials sit comfortably within the evolving streetscape, while existing trees and site constraints were carefully managed to minimise environmental impact.
Modest in scale yet significant in outcome, the project makes a meaningful contribution to housing diversity and long-term community resilience.
