Reimagined after the devastation of the 2019–20 Black Summer bushfires, this project exemplifies resilience, sustainability and place-based design. Edmiston Jones led the interdisciplinary rebuilding and renewal of cabins, function spaces and landscape infrastructure across a 3-hectare site, integrating beautiful, resilient buildings, endemic planting and water-wise strategies that respond to climate-challenged conditions. The retreat now offers immersive, low-impact accommodation and event spaces that celebrate the valley’s natural beauty while prioritising long-term ecological performance.
