AEJ were first involved with this building in the early 1980's when the firm extended the original 300 seat auditorium to a 1000 seat function centre above a new senior citizens facility.
In 2012 AEJ were engaged to develop a design and prepare construction documents taking into account current stringent requirements for sustainability and accessibility.
With the firms involvement with the original Civic Centre, AEJ were able to provide a solution which respected the original development. Joint Regional Planning Panel deputy chair Alison McCabe complimented the Civic Centre design for being flexible and adaptable.
Council's Project Manager, Wayne Brighton, stated that, "AEJ managed and delivered documentation which complied with a very tight timeframe with quality as good as I have ever seen. I remain grateful for their devotion and attention to detail."
